Determine Your Graduates Readiness for CAT
This program is designed to replace the current paper and pencil diagnostic test used for determining the graduates' readiness for NCLEX. ADC Computer Adaptive Test Profile can be administered at your school and will predict the graduates' success on the NCLEX-CA T .This computer program was designed using the RASCH Model of Item Response Theory, used by NCLEX.
CAT Readiness
The graduate answers questions using the same screen and keys that NCLEX uses on their CAT program for licensure. The ADC CA T Profile uses the " same " rules as NCLEX i.e.; first three questions leveling, passing standard, error band, min/max (real) questions, and max of 5 hours. The graduate answers questions until the computer determines that the graduate has passed/failed. Then the computer returns to the main menu and the graduate may select: Review Missed Questions, Evaluate Test, or Exit the System. The graduate may obtain a complete printout of test results which includes: Student's Ability Level, Number Correct/Incorrect, Pass/Fail Results, Standard Error Band, Question Ability, Summary Report and Study Guide.

Additionally, each student's response is plotted against the 184 Entry Level Job Activity Statements and a report is provided. This comprehensive report will provide in depth analysis of your students performance compared to entry level skills and can assist you in reviewing your curriculum.
Graduate Test Performance:
Comparison of Entry Level Skills
The ADC Graduates' Test Performance: Comparison of Entry Level Skills Report will summarize your graduates' results based on the 170 Entry Level Job Activity statements used by the National Council of State Boards, Inc. The Entry Level Job Activity Statements are used to describe the clinical environment for nursing: the knowledge, skills and abilities that a new graduate must possess prior to licensure and must be able to perform during the first six months after graduation. The National Council uses the 170 activity statements to formulate the Client Needs element of the NCLEX test plan. Each question is keyed to one of the job activities and will be presented in a report using the four categories of Client Needs. We will present the number of correct/incorrect responses for each activity. Additionally, the five steps of Nursing Process will be presented. This will give you an excellent indicator as to how your graduates will do on NCLEX-CAT .This report is designed to assist you and your faculty in reviewing your curriculum based on the performance of your graduates on the ADC CAT PROFILE.
