National Norms:
All Tests have national norms and charts are supplied for all areas in a book of National Norms provided to each school to be used for comparison of the school report on a an academic yearly basis.
The Assessments
These tests are designed to be a diagnostic instrument to evaluate the students knowledge level of nursing competency in a specific area(s) of study. The tests are designed in a building block approach. These test are meant to ensure that a student is proficient in the content that is being presented.
Online / Paper & Pencil
All tests are available in either testing format to meet your testing needs. There is no cost difference based on testing medium.
Only difference in Online testing versus Paper & Pencil testing is the time frame for the availability of results.
Test Security
It is the Schools responsibility to maintain test security by keeping the tests(s) in a secure place at all times. The loss of test booklet(s) compromises the test and your schools results. It is the schools responsibility to monitor the testing and ensure test security is maintained.
All Arnett Development Corporation tests and materials are copyrighted and all rights are reserved. No test, nor any parts of any test may be reproduces in any manner, to include being placed on the web or a schools computer system other than ADC's testing website.
Grading of Tests, Test Results , Shipment of Results
The student answer sheets/test booklets once received by ADCs office, will be processed and shipped within 2 business days (DET or Content Tests) or 2 weeks (for CT tests) if received by 2 pm at ADCs office. All results will be shipped regular mail unless otherwise specified by the school. Regular shipping costs are paid by ADC, however, if another method or carrier is requested it is the schools responsibility to provide payment for shipment.
ADC is not responsible for reports once they are shipped from ADCs office. The shipping carrier assumes responsibility for any loss or delays in delivery of results.

Included in Cost
The cost for the test includes: test booklet, answer sheet ( if applicable), scoring, individual summary reports, school summary report, and shipping of products and results to school. All products and results are mailed regular mail unless otherwise specified. Regular shipping costs are paid by ADC, however if another method or carrier is requested it is the responsibility of the school to provide payment for shipment.

This test covers the initial nursing course. The basic nursing skills are covered. Basic concepts of nursing, nursing process, comunication, models, teaching, safety, infection control, families and nurse protection, etc are included.
This test is recommended to be administered at the end of the fundamentals course.
Fundamentals Content Test Blue Print
This test has a total of 100 questions.
This test covers all material related to dosage and calculations including pediatric calculations. This test can be administered via free entry text format( fill in the blank) or in the multiple choice format.
The test should be administered after all drug and calculations are taught, often the end of fundamentals.
Dosage & Calculations Content Test BluePrint
This test has a total of 50 questions.
Each test covers all body systems. Disorders of the adult and elderly are covered. Procedures, tests and surgeries for each system are included.
These tests can be administered after each Med-Surg course or both after Med-Surg is completed.
Med Surg I & II Content Test Blue Print
Each test has a total of 100 questions.
This test includes children from 1 to 18 years of age. Psychosocial and physiological aspects of illness, wellness and hospitalization are included. Pediatric diseases and wellness strategies are covered.
This course is recommended to be administered at the end of the pediatrics course.
Pediatric Content Test Blue Print
This test covers prenatal, intrapartal, postpartal and the newborn. Content is included on normal and abnormal conditions.
This test is recommended at the end of the maternity/obstetric course.
Maternity Content Test Blue Print
This test covers basic psychiatric concepts and psychiatric disorders of the adult and elderly. Communication, death and dying, anxiety, drug and alcohol abuse, abuse, rape, etc. are also included..
This test is recommended after all psychiatric and communication content is covered.
Psychiatric Content Test Blue Print
This test covers drugs from all drug categories. The most commonly prescribed prescription drugs as well as hospital used drugs are included. All routes of administration are included.
This test is recommended as an end of program test.
Pharmacology Content Test Blue Print
This test covers management principles used by the practicing staff nurse. Delegation and assignment are included.
This test is recommended at the end of the program or after a management class near the end of the program.
Management Content Test Blue Print
This test covers all nutrion aspects of all body systems. Therapeutic diets, normal nutrition, herbs, vitamins and minerals are covered.
This test is to be administered at the end of the program.
Nutrition Content Test Blue Print
This test contains some obstetric content but also includes diseases of women such as thyroid, female disorders, osteoporosis, etc. Work issues, homelessness, etc are included.
This test is recommended at the end of a women's health course.
Women's Health Content Test Blue Print
This test covers content related to home health and community health nursing. It includes epidemiology, models, social issues, special populations, etc.
This test is recommended at the end of a community health course.
