Are You CAT Wise?In 1994 nursing moved to Computer Adaptive Testing. Other areas are also moving to this different method of testing. To adequately prepare your students for the NCLEX CAT test faculty need to understand this testing methodology. The information presented here is NOT commonly presented in ANY Test and Measurement course in either undergraduate or graduate nursing or education programs. Purpose of this WorkshopThis intense seminar is specifically designed to assist nursing faculty, educators and staff development personnel to understand the impact/changes that the NCLEX CAT has had on licensure of Nursing graduates. The seminar will focus on Item Response Theory and the Rasch Measurement model, the basis of the Computer Adaptive model. An in depth presentation of the testing procedures and ways to prepare graduates for the exam. Who should attend?You should participate in this workshop if you write multiple choice test questions for nursing students, nurses or other health professionals.
